A fast-growing, well funded consumer brand operating across food & beverage, grocery retail, and wholesale channels is looking to hire a hands-on Finance Manager to support its next phase of scale. This is a critical role in a business that is scaling rapidly across D2C, retail listings, and wholesale distribution, with increasing operational and financial complexity.
The Opportunity
You’ll take ownership of day-to-day finance operations while ensuring robust financial control, accuracy, and scalable processes in a highly automated environment. This role suits someone who enjoys being close to the detail but also understands the commercial drivers of a multi-channel consumer business (retail, ecommerce, wholesale).
Key Responsibilities
- Own month-end close, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records across AP/AR, bank, and control accounts
- Oversee financial data integrity across integrated systems (ecommerce, payments, ERP)
- Manage credit control and customer/supplier relationships
- Support management accounts, budgeting, and performance analysis
- Ensure VAT compliance and support year-end audit processes
- Work closely with operations on logistics, stock, and cost allocations
What They’re Looking For
- Strong SME / scale-up experience, ideally in food & beverage, grocery, wholesale or multi-channel retail
- Proven experience running month-end and maintaining clean, accurate accounts
- Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and UK accounting standards
- Experience with integrated finance systems (ecommerce + accounting stack)
- Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced, growing business
- Food & Beverage / Grocery / Wholesale experience is a must
