Talentedge Technology have partnered with a growing, Belfast-Based Insurance firm to hire two Software Engineers. This company builds and operates a suite of digital platforms that power a core industry product, customer-facing portals, third-party integrations, and internal tools. Its technology supports business-critical workflows and is used by customers and internal teams every day.
We’re looking for Software Engineers with strong .NET core and C# experience to join a cross-functional product team and help design, build, and deliver high-quality, scalable software. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of features end-to-end, contribute to technical direction, and collaborate closely with Product, QA, and other engineers.
Duties:
- Design and deliver well-tested, maintainable software using modern engineering practices
- Contribute to APIs, services, and distributed systems
- Participate in architectural discussions and help shape technical standards
- Work closely with Product and QA to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Improve system reliability, scalability, and observability
- Support and mentor other engineers through reviews and collaboration
Requirements:
- Strong experience with C# and .NET (Core / 6+)
- Experience building cloud-native systems (Azure preferred)
- Solid understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and modern delivery practices (CI/CD, automated testing, observability)
- Experience with Blazor / MVC (or other UI frameworks)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- RESTful API principles and design decisions
- Knowledge of design patterns and when/why to apply them
- Security basics (authentication, authorization, data handling)
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with messaging, event-driven architectures, or microservices
- Mentoring experience or technical leadership on complex features
