Talentedge are actively recruiting for an Assistant Accountant for a Global Entertainment business in Central London paying £40-45k+ study. The role offers hybrid working (4 days in the office).

Duties include:

  • Create self-billing, invoices and receipts for reconciled payments as required;
  • Ensure all royalties pay-outs are accurate and on a timely basis;
  • Credit control aspect to ensure all income is invoiced and received on time;
  • Point of contact for questions from royalty participants;
  • Ensure a full and comprehensive audit trail of back-up is maintained;
  • Management of ledger email inbox. Prioritise, investigate and resolve customer queries timely. Escalate any issues as appropriate;
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers and legal to ensure accurate processing of income;
  • Complete analysis and checks to ensure all income has been received and accounted for as variance analysis;
  • Allocation of vendor ledgers to ensure balance sheet is up to date and accurate;
  • Input royalty statements;
  • Ensure all revenue is recorded accurately;
  • Process quarterly payment runs including BACS & international payments;
  • Prepare remittance advice and statements;
  • Process invoices manually;
  • Raise and distribute customer invoices;
  • Maintain accurate customer records and create new customer accounts;
  • Reconcile payments received with invoices issued, bank and general ledger;
  • PayPal and credit card payments processed and reconciled to the general ledger;
  • Debtor collection management. Active collection, call and email follow-ups. Statement and reminders at key escalation points 30/60/90 days. Circulate key weekly reports with updates and actions. Liaise with external parties keeping on top of weekly receivables;
  • Reconciling and reviewing monthly aged debtor’s ledger;
  • Issue and follow-up ‘advance’ payments and ensure all revenue is recognised timely;
  • Finance team liaison for all business and customer related queries;
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

Essential knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Experience with credit control and sales ledger activities;
  • Experience with managing purchase ledger activities;
  • Processing royalties payments is essential as well as at least 2 years experience in a similar role;
  • Strong Microsoft skills especially Excel;
  • Communications skills and experience of dealing with senior individuals;
  • Ability to interpret and present complex financial information to non-finance professionals;
  • Previous experience of management information reporting and analytical skills;
  • Continuous evaluation of financial processes and systems to make recommendations for improvements and efficiencies;
  • Ability to collaborate closely with colleagues within the finance team and be a team player.
