Manchester | Hybrid | 12-Month FTC | £45,000–£55,000
We're looking for a Finance Business Analyst to join a busy Finance Continuous Improvement team that's driving a major finance transformation programme. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and working closely with both finance and technology teams to make change happen.
This is a varied, hands‑on role where no two days are the same. As the programme evolves, you'll help shape new ways of working, improve finance processes, and ensure the business is ready for change. If you enjoy working in fast‑paced environments and aren't afraid to roll your sleeves up, you'll fit right in.
What you'll be doing
- Reviewing and improving finance processes, process maps and SOPs, helping to create consistent ways of working across the finance function.
- Gathering business requirements and supporting projects through the full lifecycle, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Analysing finance and operational data to identify trends, issues and opportunities that support better decision making.
- Working closely with finance, technology and project teams to understand business challenges and turn them into practical solutions.
- Helping ensure any system or process changes maintain the integrity of financial reporting and controls.
- Using AI tools where appropriate to improve efficiency, automate routine tasks and support project delivery.
What we're looking for
- Experience working in operational finance or as a Finance Business Analyst on finance transformation or systems projects.
- Exposure to Finance ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday or similar.
- An understanding of core finance processes including Record to Report (R2R), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Order to Cash (O2C).
- Comfortable working in a changing environment where priorities can shift and new challenges arise.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across finance and technology teams.
- Experience with Agile or other project delivery methodologies would be beneficial.
- Someone who's naturally proactive, collaborative and enjoys getting stuck in.
Why this role?
This is a great opportunity to be part of a high‑profile finance transformation programme where you'll have genuine exposure to business change, finance systems, process improvement and senior stakeholders. You'll join a collaborative team where your ideas will be valued, and you'll have the chance to make a real impact while developing your finance transformation experience.
