Financial Accountant (Part-Time – 3 Days Per Week)

We’re partnering with an exciting, high-growth consumer brand based near Liverpool Street to hire an experienced Financial Accountant on a part-time basis (3 days per week).

This is a hands-on role focused on stabilising and professionalising the finance function during an important growth phase. You’ll play a key role in redesigning processes, strengthening reporting integrity, and bringing structure to month-end.

The Role

This position will focus on building a robust financial accounting foundation and improving reporting clarity across the business.

Core Responsibilities:

• Redesign and professionalise the month-end process
• Build structured reporting and meaningful financial analysis
• Map accounts and improve financial visibility
• Develop and implement robust month-end reconciliations
• Lead month-end due diligence processes
• Design and strengthen general ledger processes

The Challenge

• The finance function is currently undergoing transformation:
• Accounting processes lack structure
• External/on-site support is loosely managing transactional accounting (purchases, accruals, prepayments, payroll, statutory accounts, VAT filings and ad hoc support)
• Month-end is currently inconsistent and requires redesign
• The business is looking to bring processes fully in-house
