I’m currently working with a well-funded, rapidly scaling technology business looking to hire a Finance Manager with scope to grow into a Financial Controller remit. This is a high-impact role working directly with a highly commercial CFO, acting as their right hand as the business continues its next phase of growth. Finance plays a central role in supporting both operational performance and strategic decision making across the organisation.
The company is in a very strong financial position, has an impressive leadership team and continues to see significant momentum as it scales.
The role
This position sits at the centre of the finance function, combining strong financial control responsibilities with exposure to commercial and strategic work. You will be responsible for:
- Leading the monthly financial reporting cycle
- Maintaining strong financial controls and balance sheet oversight
- Driving process improvements and automation across the finance function
- Supporting the CFO with forecasting, modelling and financial analysis
- Working closely with teams across the business to help improve financial visibility and decision making
- Supporting the development and evolution of the finance function as the business scales
The profile
The CFO is looking for someone who wants to play an active role in building and improving a finance function within a scaling business.
Ideal background:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
- Experience working in a technology business
- Exposure to VC or PE-backed startup / scale-up environments
- Broad accounting experience across reporting, controls and operational finance
- Comfortable working with data, dashboards or financial models
- Someone who enjoys improving processes and building things from the ground up
