A rare opportunity to step into a high-impact role within one of the most influential media and marketing organisations in the world. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping client profitability, commercial strategy and long-term growth across a complex, fast-moving portfolio of flagship clients.
It’s a role for a commercially minded leader who thrives on complexity, influence and decision-making at scale; someone who enjoys being at the intersection of clients, finance, growth and strategy, rather than operating in a silo. If you are motivated by solving problems that really matter, influencing senior stakeholders and leaving a tangible commercial legacy, this role offers both stretch and visibility in equal measure.
Why This Role Is Different
This is not a “back-office” commercial role:
- A trusted commercial partner to senior client leadership, finance and growth teams
- A key voice in deal design, pricing strategy and profitability optimisation
- Operating with real autonomy across a high-value client portfolio
The remit blends strategic thinking with hands-on commercial leadership, offering exposure to:
- Complex contract structures and in-person client negotiations
- New business pricing and proposition design
- Margin improvement and working capital optimisation
- Performance-based commercial models and incentives
What You’ll Be Responsible For
At a high level, you will:
- Own the commercial health and profitability of a defined portfolio of major clients
- Lead the commercial architecture of new business wins, including pricing models, scopes, incentives and trading structures
- Act as the senior commercial lead in client negotiations, including legal, procurement and audit conversations
- Partner closely with finance, investment and operational teams to optimise margin, capacity and performance
- Lead, develop and mentor a high-performing commercial team
This is a role where judgement, influence and commercial intuition matter as much as finance capability. This opportunity will resonate with someone who:
- Has operated in a leadership role in client/commercial or commercial finance role within media/marketing services (complex client-led environments)
- Is comfortable balancing commercial rigour with stakeholder diplomacy
- Enjoys negotiating at senior level - internally and client facing
- Has a track record of improving profitability, structuring deals and solving commercial challenges
