HGV Workshop Supervisor – £52,000
Location: Beenham, Berkshire
Salary: £52,000 per annum
Hours: Mon–Fri, 7:00am–4:30pm + alternate Saturdays, 7:00am–11:30am

Our client, a well-established organisation within the waste management and environmental services sector, is looking for an experienced HGV Workshop Supervisor to join their maintenance team in Beenham, Berkshire.
This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will oversee HGV Technicians and Apprentices, while continuing to carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and allocate work to HGV Technicians and Apprentices.
- Carry out hands-on HGV servicing, maintenance and repairs.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
- Manage job cards, service sheets, defects and VOR reporting.
- Support fleet maintenance, parts management and stock control.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, LOLER and company procedures.
- Work closely with the Workshop Manager to improve workshop efficiency.
About You
We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / LGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Technician with supervisory or team-lead experience.
You will need:
- LGV Class 2 licence (minimum) and Digital Tachograph Card.
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds HGV Parts 1–3 or equivalent.
- Strong HGV maintenance and fault-finding experience.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics and mechanical systems.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety.
- Strong communication and team leadership skills.
