We are looking for a skilled Vending Engineer to support the delivery, setup, removal, and ongoing servicing of vending, coffee, and water machines across customer and company locations. This role plays a key part in ensuring equipment performs reliably, safely, and to a high standard, while delivering excellent service to customers. The position also supports environmentally responsible working practices, focusing on efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainability.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, set up, relocate, and remove vending, coffee, and water machines in line with technical and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend machine life.
  • Attend breakdowns and service requests, diagnosing issues and completing repairs quickly to minimise disruption.
  • Complete site visits and surveys ahead of new installations or equipment moves.
  • Program, adjust, and calibrate machines, including drink settings and system controls.
  • Manage warranty repairs and ensure service records are completed accurately.
  • Provide basic user training and handover support following new equipment installations.
  • Transport and position equipment safely during deliveries, upgrades, and relocations.

Continuous Improvement & Best Practice

  • Support a proactive and responsive service culture within the engineering team.
  • Apply sustainable engineering methods, including responsible disposal, reuse of parts, and recycling of materials.
  • Assist with initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact, such as efficient route planning and energy-saving practices.
  • Work in line with all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Identify repeated technical or service issues and suggest improvements to enhance overall performance and customer satisfaction.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong practical knowledge of vending and coffee machine mechanics and electronics.
  • Demonstrated experience in fault diagnosis and repair of vending and coffee equipment.
  • Background in commissioning and decommissioning machinery within a food or beverage environment.
  • Understanding of water filtration systems, grinder setup, and coffee extraction principles.
  • Familiarity with AVA health, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel between sites.
  • Confident communicator with a professional and customer-focused approach.
