About the Opportunity

Our client is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their growing After Sales team, providing installation, servicing and technical support across a wide customer base. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and delivering outstanding customer service. You'll receive full support, ongoing training and the opportunity to develop your technical skills within a respected and growing business.

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will travel to customer sites across the North of the UK, carrying out installations, planned maintenance, servicing and repairs on a range of commercial beverage equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, servicing and repairing commercial equipment at customer sites.
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
  • Providing customers with training on the correct operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Recording technical findings and completing service documentation accurately.
  • Reporting recurring faults and identifying opportunities for product improvements.
  • Supporting the Sales team with technical expertise where required.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through excellent service.
  • Planning daily workloads and travel routes efficiently, responding to urgent breakdowns when required.
  • Working collaboratively with internal departments to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Always following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.

About You

We're looking for an engineer with strong fault-finding abilities and a customer-focused approach. Ideally you will have:

  • A recognised Engineering qualification (A-Level or equivalent as a minimum).
  • Experience working with electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Previous experience servicing, maintaining or repairing technical equipment.
  • Experience working with pressurised boiler systems.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to complete service reports accurately.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • A flexible approach to travel, including regular overnight stays.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience working with commercial coffee machines, bean-to-cup equipment, espresso machines or similar catering equipment is beneficial.
