Maintenance Engineer

Talented People are hiring on behalf of a well known brand in Crawley for a Production Technician to ensure the ongoing service and maintenance of their production machines as well as ensuring site facilities and maintenance are maintained. Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Location: Crawley, West Sussex Salary: £40,000 per annum Key Responsibilities: * Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repair of production equipment, including conveyor-based machinery * The Maintenance Engineer must diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults * Support the maintenance of site facilities, including lighting, plumbing, and general utilities * The Maintenance Engineer must respond promptly to machinery breakdowns to minimize downtime * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in accordance with maintenance schedules * Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and service history * The Maintenance Engineer must collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement improvements * The Maintenance Engineer must follow all health & safety procedures and company policies What We’re Looking For: * Proven experience in a production engineering or maintenance technician role * Strong mechanical aptitude, ideally with exposure to conveyor systems or fast-paced machinery * Good understanding of preventative maintenance and reactive repair methods * Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team * Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Ready to take the next step career?
