We are recruiting for an experienced Scenic Operations Manager to join a leading creative production business delivering high-quality scenic builds for live events, exhibitions, and experiential projects. This is a senior operational role responsible for coordinating projects from initial planning through to delivery, ensuring work is scheduled effectively, resources are managed, and projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The Role
- Managing the operational planning and coordination of scenic projects
- Taking ownership of incoming projects and ensuring they are prepared for delivery
- Managing schedules, workloads, resources, and project priorities
- Working closely with workshop teams, production teams, logistics, and project managers
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet quality expectations
- Monitoring progress, identifying risks, and resolving operational challenges
- Supporting smooth movement of projects through the workshop and into delivery
- Maintaining accurate project information, documentation, and timelines
- Supporting safe working practices and operational standards
About You
- Proven experience in an operations, production, or project coordination role
- Experience working within scenic, events, exhibitions, theatre, film/TV, or creative production environments
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Experience coordinating resources, labour, logistics, and schedules
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure
- Good understanding of Health & Safety processes, including RAMS
