Shift Pattern: 6:30am - 6:30pm (or operational equivalent)
Hours: 12-hour shifts with a 45-minute unpaid break and a 15-minute paid break
Rota: 2-week rolling pattern
About the Role
We are seeking a Production Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operation of a designated production line. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 8 employees, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and operational requirements are met in a safe and efficient manner. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while supporting team performance and maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of production operatives.
- Monitor production performance to ensure targets and customer requirements are achieved.
- Manage labour, materials, and equipment effectively throughout the shift.
- Maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety.
- Ensure production documentation and records are completed accurately.
- Support the training and development of new and existing team members.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture and ensure safe working practices are followed.
- Escalate operational, quality, and people-related issues when appropriate.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
