Talented People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing distribution business that supplies products to commercial customers across the UK through a busy logistics and delivery network.

We are looking for an organised and proactive Transport Administrator to support a fast-paced transport operation, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multi-drop routes and support route optimisation.
  • Communicate daily with drivers and provide operational updates.
  • Monitor vehicle records, defects and maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure all delivery documentation and PODs are completed accurately.
  • Support driver performance reviews and compliance checks.
  • Provide driver cover when required.
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve issues and maintain service levels.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce transport costs.

About You

  • Previous experience within a transport or logistics environment.
  • Experience coordinating multi-drop vehicles and route planning.
  • Strong geographical knowledge, particularly London and surrounding areas.
  • Understanding of fleet management and Working Time Directive regulations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience with routing software or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Forklift licence.
  • FORS knowledge or logistics qualifications.
