Talented People Solutions are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join their growing client! This role is covering the Central Belt of Scotland and will be field based only. You will predominantly be on the road and delivering excellent support to clients and customers in terms of maintenance, repairs and breakdown solutions. This role is offering a 45 hour a week contract over 5 days and working 1 Saturday once a month. You wouldn’t be required to travel any further than 2.5 hours generally; however, there could be the odd occasion when slightly more is required.

Responsibilities of a Field Service Engineer:

  • Reactive maintenance, repair and breakdown of commercial coffee, vending and bakery equipment.
  • Carry out comprehensive maintenance to customers and aim to resolve the cause of faults.
  • Complete and provide reports in relation to work and equipment as required, including reporting your arrival and departure from each call and obtaining customer confirmation where required.
  • Manage tooling and van stocks as well as job parts orders appropriately by receipting, consuming or returning for each job.

Experience and skills required for the Field Service Engineer:

  • C&G electrical qualification/experience.
  • Relevant electrical experience (18th, 17th edition, HNC, NVQ, City & Guilds in electrics would be an advantage).
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing white goods equipment.
  • Full driving license.
  • Customer service centric.

You are provided with all the tools needed to do the role and a van. You will be required for a maximum of a week to attend induction and training in one of their head offices, which will require an overnight stay, but all expenses will be paid.
