Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shifts: Monday to Friday – Early & Late Shifts (Rotational)

A UK manufacturer of security systems specialising in gates and barrier solutions for residential and commercial environments is seeking an Electrical Fitter / Panel Wirer to join its Crawley-based production facility.

This is a workshop-based role focused on the build of control panels and associated electrical wiring for bespoke gate and barrier systems.

Role Overview

The Electrical Fitter will be responsible for the electrical assembly, panel wiring, and system wiring of security products, working from detailed electrical and mechanical drawings and completing builds to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Build and wire control panels for gate and barrier systems

*

Carry out associated electrical wiring to motors, sensors, safety devices, and control components

*

Work from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

*

Assemble electrical components to specification and job requirements

*

Inspect and test own work to ensure compliance with quality standards

*

Maintain high levels of housekeeping and workshop organisation

*

Identify and report drawing discrepancies or build issues to supervision

Essential Skills & Experience

*

Proven experience as an Electrical Fitter, Panel Wirer, or Electrical Assembly Technician

*

18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification

*

Background in electro-mechanical or mechanical assembly environments

*

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

*

Methodical, detail-focused approach with a right-first-time xiskglj mindset

Desirable Experience

*

Control panel wiring experience (relays, contactors, terminal rails)

*

Experience interfacing with hydraulic systems

*

Exposure to high-voltage systems

*

Experience with access control, gate, or barrier systems
