£17.00 per hour | Monday to Friday | 6:00am starts | Temp to Perm
Looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver job in Chessington with weekday hours and varied delivery routes? We’re recruiting a reliable, professional Category C Driver to deliver flooring products to customers and businesses using a Class 2 rigid vehicle fitted with a tail lift.
This is a 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for an experienced HGV 2 Driver who enjoys a hands-on delivery role. Routes vary daily and may include London deliveries, but London is not part of the route every day. There are no fixed routes, giving you variety throughout the working week.
The Role

Drive a Class 2 rigid HGV safely and responsibly to customer and business locations.

Deliver flooring products efficiently and ensure goods arrive in excellent condition.

Operate a vehicle-mounted tail lift and use a pump truck to assist with loading and unloading.

Handle flooring products carefully, following safe manual handling practices.

Complete delivery paperwork and daily vehicle safety checks.

Maintain high standards of vehicle care, road safety and customer service.

Adapt to changing delivery schedules and routes, including occasional deliveries into London.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00am starts

Usually finish around 3:00pm, although shifts may occasionally run later depending on deliveries.

Routes vary daily, with no set delivery route.

London deliveries may be required but will not be an everyday occurrence.

Requirements

Valid Category C (Class 2 HGV) driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.

Valid Driver CPC qualification.

Valid digital tachograph card.

Previous Class 2 HGV delivery driving experience preferred.

Experience operating a tail lift and pump truck is advantageous.

Physically fit and comfortable with loading, unloading and handling flooring products.

Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious and professional.

Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
