Role Overview

As Papermill Production Manager, you will be responsible for delivering production targets while ensuring full compliance with safety, environmental, and product quality standards, in line with ISO 9001 requirements and Group policies. You will lead and develop production teams, drive technical and operational improvements, and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality papermaking operations.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve production objectives while strictly complying with safety, environmental, and product safety standards, the ISO 9001 Quality System, and Group procedures.
  • Lead and supervise production teams, including shift planning and workforce organization.
  • Plan and coordinate technical training, regularly assessing progress and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Product Office to keep technical documentation accurate and up to date, identifying gaps and proposing improvements.
  • Ensure product compliance with defined technical specifications and quality standards through routine audits and troubleshooting activities.
  • Partner with the Product Office to review and enhance technical specifications, identifying issues and recommending adjustments to support ongoing product improvement.
  • Support new product development, assessing technical feasibility and overseeing required testing and sample collection.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of alternative raw materials, coordinating and monitoring industrial testing activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing production processes and introducing innovative solutions.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance department to ensure optimal performance and reliability of production lines.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in a papermaking manufacturing environment, ideally within paper, cardboard, or paperboard production (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and people management.
  • Strong technical understanding of papermaking processes, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions to resolve production challenges and improve product quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
