About this opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager. You will be part of our client's growth team and will deliver business objectives and win new client opportunities. You will fully own the end-to-end bid management process, combining effective project management with bid writing skills to develop compelling, client-winning bids. You will sit within the sales and marketing team and will work alongside several departments and key stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcome.
What you will do:
- Responsible for the completion of Expression of Interest (EOI), Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation in line with corporate guidelines.
- Work alongside the senior leadership team and the project team to develop strategies for success. Instigate the development of win themes, hooks and key messages underpinned by client need.
- Accountable for the overall content quality, whilst working to tight deadlines to deliver tenders, proposals and presentations.
- Responsible for identifying the needs and requirements of the inbound tender in order to create the response, including but not limited to, arranging who will attend site visits and audit requests.
- Networking with subject matter experts to translate their content to support submissions ensuring the right balance of technical know-how and plain English interwoven with win themes.
- Working with marketing, seek or develop client evidence, case studies and references to enhance the quality of the response.
- Create a resource library with model answers that can be tailored for individual bids and client need.
- Responsible for writing and proofreading all tenders to ensure that questions have been answered fully and the document is coherent with a consistent tone of voice.
- Play a role in the research of client strategies and principles to ensure that the tender meets the clients' expectations.
- Regular review of the bidding portal to identify any new tenders and opportunities, communicating these out to the business as part of the business approval process to bid/no bid.
- Lead the end-to-end project management of the bid including registering interest, tender receipt, bid schedule, action tracker, collating responses, reworking answers, document completion, business approval and submission.
- Develop a won/lot matrix capturing client feedback and identifying any themes as part of ongoing evaluation.
