An experienced IFS ERP Technical Lead is required for an initial 6-month engagement, taking technical ownership of the IFS ERP environment for a well-established UK manufacturer supplying globally recognised brands. You'll lead the technical management of the IFS platform end-to-end - ensuring stability, performance and availability - while designing and delivering customisations, integrations and enhancements. This is a hands-on leadership role, mentoring existing IFS technical staff while driving upgrades, patching and continuous improvement across the estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical management of the IFS ERP system, ensuring stability, performance and availability.
  • Work with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Design, develop and implement customisations, integrations and enhancements within the IFS ERP environment.
  • Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting to resolve ERP issues promptly.
  • Manage system upgrades, patching and testing activities to maintain integrity and security.
  • Lead ERP-related technical projects, ensuring timely delivery against agreed objectives.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, processes and procedures.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of IFS ERP modules, architecture and customisation capabilities.
  • Experience with ERP integration technologies - APIs, Middleware - and database management.
  • Proficiency in Java, SQL and other languages relevant to IFS ERP customisation.
  • Experience managing ERP upgrades, patches and testing cycles.
  • Technical leadership and team mentoring experience.
