IFS Finance Consultant Outside IR35 Hybrid (Oxford) £600 £750 per day (Outside IR35) Initial 12-month contract Hybrid Oxford, with flexible working hours Role Overview An experienced Senior IFS Finance Expert is required for an initial 12-month engagement, supporting a global life sciences organisation through a period of IFS-led enterprise transformation.
This is a senior functional role for someone who wants to move beyond project delivery and own outcomes acting as the functional IFS expert for Finance and the bridge between business and IT.
You'll challenge legacy ways of working, unlock standard IFS capabilities, and design scalable solutions that reduce complexity and cost, working across a global business spanning the UK, Europe and USA.
Key Responsibilities Play a central role in IFS-related projects, challenging legacy ways of working and unlocking standard IFS capabilities.
Design scalable solutions that reduce complexity, cost and external dependency.
Own continuous small improvement initiatives across the IFS Finance landscape.
Support critical business cycles, such as month-end close, via helpdesk ticketing and Kanban.
Enable data migration, testing strategy (SIT/UAT) and go-live readiness.
Build internal IFS Finance expertise through regular knowledge transfer.
Produce compliant, high-quality documentation process blueprints, functional designs and user documentation.
Work with colleagues across multiple regions and business units globally.
Key Skills knowledge of the IFS Project Management module highly advantageous.
Deep understanding of finance transformation and ERP best practice.
Proven ability to translate business strategy into system design.
Confidence to challenge requirements and drive standardisation.
Comfortable working across IT, Finance and external partners.
Basic IFS technical knowledge, including PL/SQL and Custom Configurations (Custom Fields, Menus, Logical Units, ACP, Events, Lobbies).
