Our client is a well-respected, profitable multi-site hospitality business with a fascinating heritage and an exciting growth strategy. They are now looking to recruit an interim Finance Director (FD) who is able to ensure operational robustness and excellence whilst having the commercial acumen to operate as a valued contributor to future strategic planning.
The FD will need high EQ and excellent communication skills, capable of building strong relationships across the business and able to foster and develop the existing culture. Responsible for maintaining strong systems, controls and processes across the business, the FD will also be tasked with providing valuable commercial insights into current operations and future strategic planning. Previous multi-site experience is highly advantageous.
- Management of Finance Team and Processes
- Create a new Budget/Forecast Model
- Manage the Finance Team, plus the Management Accounts and Payroll Processes
- Review the current Finance Team Structure and allocation of outsourced work
- Undertake a thorough accounts review and implement improvements which reduce the Month End Close time.
- External Provider Relationships
- Lead the Audit Process including the implementation of the Statutory Accounts Production
- Control the Tax Computations Process and liaise with auditors
- Manage the BI Platform and POS system
- Liaise with PE investor on financial matters
- Prepare bank reporting
- Manage insurance broker relationship
- Commercial
- Identify cost savings and other profit improvement opportunities
- Prepare/supervise financial analysis
- Board Meetings
- Prepare and present Finance Board Meeting Presentation
- Executive Team Meetings
- Supervise Trading Pack preparation and attend Trading Pack Review
- Company Structure Reorganisation
- Enter the reorganisation in the Accounts and annotate the reorganisation paper to create a record of this as there have been differences from the original proposal.
- Review the resultant structure and assess what opportunities there are for simplification and/or improvement.
