Our client is a PE backed professional services business and they are now looking to recruit a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to support their future growth plans. This is a highly visible role and a key part of the finance management team. Working alongside the VP of Finance you will support the CFO and the rest of the Executive Team and will be responsible for forecasting, budgeting and presentation of financial and KPI data to the board, investors and management to support decision making and present a clear plan for the business.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Financial planning and forecasting for separate divisions and for the group as a whole
  • Reviewing and revising/rebuilding the 3-5 year integrated financial model for the business
  • Running the annual Budget process with the CFO to incorporate P&L, cash flow and balance sheet
  • Develop, measure and track KPIs, with a focus on value creation
  • Partner with team leaders/divisional heads to challenge and understand operational performance and sales enablement, helping to drive revenue growth
  • Helping assess and design systems needed by the business, including front office
  • Enhance data integrity and reporting controls to enable agile scenario reporting and analysis
  • Working with sales teams to support margin improvement strategies
  • Assisting with design of reporting for new business areas helping define business cases for new hiring
  • Production of bank data and monitoring of covenants
  • Regular attendance of forecasting meetings with the CFO
  • Support future M&A activities

Profile:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working in a business services/professional services/technology company
  • Excellent Excel, Power BI advantageous
  • Strong understanding of balance sheet, cashflows and working capital
  • Previous Treasury and FX experience beneficial

We are looking for someone who is comfortable at both 'hands-dirty' aspects of finance as well as high level financial planning, budgeting and determination of appropriate management information. This role requires somebody with the intellectual horsepower to work effectively with founders, management and stakeholders. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential together with the flexibility to work across different times zones.
