Our client is a well-respected, profitable multi-site hospitality business with a fascinating heritage and an exciting growth strategy. They are now looking to recruit a commercial Finance Director (FD) with previous PE experience, somebody who is able to ensure operational robustness and excellence whilst having the commercial acumen to operate as a valued contributor to future strategic planning.

The FD will need high EQ and excellent communication skills, capable of building strong relationships across the business and able to foster and develop the existing culture. Responsible for maintaining strong systems, controls and processes across the business the FD will also be tasked with providing valuable commercial insights into current operations and future strategic planning. Previous multi-site experience is essential and the future growth strategy includes new site acquisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the CEO and Board to drive the growth and the successful performance of the business.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with external professional advisors, bankers and investors.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and risk assessment.
  • Maintain robust financial controls and processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information.
  • Assess return on Capex projects and assist with acquisition of potential new sites.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Proven track record in a Finance Director/ CFO role.
  • Experience of working in a multi-site business, ideally consumer facing.
  • Previous experience working with external stakeholders (VC/PE).
