Function: Enterprise IT – Strategic Planning / Technology Enablement

Location: Remote (UK-based) with 1–2 days per month onsite in Chessington

Coverage: UK late meetings required

Role Overview: We are hiring a Project Manager for two projects (one UK-focused, one US-focused) to lead complex IT-led transformation initiatives within a large enterprise Pharma environment. The role sits at the core of IT transformation, covering infrastructure, platforms, and enterprise systems, and requires strong delivery discipline across multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and geographies. You will own end-to-end project delivery: planning, execution, dependency management, risk control, and executive communication—working across Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of IT transformation initiatives across two major enterprise customers
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, schedules, and dependencies
  • Manage multiple concurrent priorities and interdependent sub-projects
  • Drive execution across Agile and Waterfall delivery models
  • Track milestones, risks, issues, and capacity to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery
  • Clearly articulate complex timelines and dependencies to senior stakeholders
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, impediments, and resourcing constraints
  • Facilitate leadership and steering meetings; provide clear status reporting
  • Align stakeholders across technology, business, and leadership teams
  • Use project management tools (and AI where appropriate) to improve efficiency

Required Experience

  • 5–7 years IT project or program management experience
  • 5+ years delivering transformation initiatives (IT-centric)
  • Proven experience managing enterprise-scale, technically complex programs
  • Strong experience working with senior and executive stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Experience working across UK and US time zones
  • Methodologies SAFe preferred
  • Experience with tools such as: Jira, MS Project, Clarity, Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Office suite
