Project Support Officer – SC Cleared – 6‑month contract, hybrid working (1 month per month in Barrow in Furness, UK). Salary: £400 per day (inside IR35). Talent Consulting has an exciting opportunity for a Project Support Officer within one of our government clients. The Project Support Officer will provide vital administrative and operational support to the Project Management Office (PMO). You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of project data, supporting financial processes through SAP, and ensuring that project governance is upheld throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- SAP Project Code requests.
- E‑Monitoring Engagement set up.
- Add new Projects to the account PDM.
- Set up new Projects on client systems.
- Support assigned Engagement Managers in project cadence and governance activities.
- Undertake compliance reviews.
- Support Engagement Managers with weekly reporting requirements.
- Run Pre‑M Reviews with each assigned Engagement Manager.
- Support and cover colleagues as applicable.
Requirements / Experience
- Proven experience in the end‑to‑end set‑up of new projects on internal and client‑facing systems.
- Proficient in managing project financial structures, specifically engagement set‑up.
- Experience maintaining a Project Data Manager (PDM) or similar centralized database to ensure "single source of truth" reporting.
- Proficiency in maintaining Risk, Action, Issue, and Decision (RAID) logs to support proactive project management.
- Ability to act as a dedicated partner to Engagement/Project Managers, streamlining their administrative workload.
- A track record of providing cross‑functional support and covering colleagues to maintain operational continuity during peak periods.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, APM, or Agile.
- Exceptional accuracy in data entry and financial record‑keeping.
