Oracle Finance Functional Data Analyst / Consultant
Contract Type: Initial 6-month contract (outside IR35)
Rate: £Market rates
Clearance Required: Active SC Clearance
The Role:
We're seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Functional Consultant with experience of Oracle Finance Functional Design to support a major ERP transformation. You’ll work on the migration and integration of financial data from legacy systems into Oracle ERP, ensuring robust functional design and data integrity.
You’ll act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, shaping finance data structures that meet operational and compliance needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Finance SMEs to gather and document functional requirements
- Analyse existing legacy data structures and define target Oracle Finance data models
- Develop functional design specifications for Oracle Finance modules (e.g. GL, AP, AR, FA, CM)
- Support data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation activities
- Define and validate data migration rules in line with financial controls and audit requirements
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure designs are implemented correctly
- Participate in system testing and user acceptance activities
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in Oracle Finance functional design or data analysis
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, etc.)
- Experience delivering or supporting ERP implementations or upgrades
- Data mapping, cleansing, and reconciliation experience in a finance context
- Excellent stakeholder management, able to work with finance teams and technical resources
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Active SC Clearance
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP / Fusion
- Background in Finance or Accounting (e.g. part-qualified accountant)
- Experience in large-scale transformation or public sector environments
- Knowledge of data migration tools / ETL processes
