Salary - Up to Β£55,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Business Systems Analyst with a strong understanding of integrations, APIs and complex technology environments?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative technology team where you'll play a key role in improving how systems connect, share data and support the wider organisation.
You'll work across a range of integration projects, partnering with technical teams and senior stakeholders to turn business needs into practical, scalable solutions. It's a role where you'll have the opportunity to influence how technology works across the organisation rather than simply gathering requirements and passing them on.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the analysis and delivery of integrations between enterprise applications, cloud platforms and third-party systems.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear technical and functional requirements.
- Create and maintain functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, interface designs and data mappings.
- Analyse system interactions and data flows, identifying opportunities to improve automation, data quality and business processes.
- Work collaboratively with developers, testers, architects, Product Owners and external suppliers to deliver effective solutions.
- Support the development and optimisation of APIs, middleware and integration technologies.
- Ensure requirements are clear, detailed and testable, helping development and testing teams deliver with confidence.
- Investigate integration issues and coordinate with technical teams to identify and resolve problems.
- Carry out impact assessments for system changes, upgrades and new implementations, identifying risks, dependencies and potential challenges.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement and prioritisation.
- Present recommendations, options and proposed solutions to senior stakeholders and governance groups.
- Help ensure solutions meet appropriate security, data protection, governance and regulatory requirements.
What we're looking for
You'll be an experienced Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst who enjoys working at the intersection of business and technology.
You'll ideally have:
- Significant experience working on complex systems, integration or technology projects.
- Strong experience gathering, analysing and documenting functional and non-functional requirements.
- Experience producing user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, process maps and data mappings.
- A good understanding of APIs, integrations, system interactions and data flows.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or similar.
- Experience working closely with Product Owners and technical delivery teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge, influence and build consensus.
- The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience presenting recommendations or options to senior stakeholders.
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, particularly when managing multiple initiatives and dependencies.
- A data-driven approach, with the ability to use evidence and analysis to support decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Why consider this opportunity?
This isn't simply a requirements-gathering role. You'll have the opportunity to get involved in meaningful technology change, influence integration strategy and work with a broad range of technical and business teams.
You'll be joining a collaborative environment where your experience and ideas will be valued, with the opportunity to:
- Work on complex and interesting integration projects.
- Have genuine influence over how technology solutions are designed and delivered.
- Work alongside experienced developers, architects, and technology professionals.
- Develop your experience across enterprise applications, cloud services and integration technologies.
- Engage directly with senior stakeholders and have visibility across the wider organisation.
- Help improve processes, automation and the way different systems work together.
- Continue developing your technical and business analysis skills in a varied role.
If you're looking for your next Senior Business Systems Analyst opportunity and want a role where you can make a real impact across technology and business change, this could be a great next step.
