Quality Cell Lead

We are seeking a hands‑on Quality Cell Lead to define, maintain, and elevate quality requirements across multi‑cell engineering delivery. You will establish overall test and quality strategies, ensuring quality is engineered early rather than verified late.

A key focus of this role is supervising, refining, and continuously improving an agentic‑driven testing capability where AI agents work alongside engineers to handle test coverage, regression, and defect detection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Strategy and Roadmapping: Define and own the quality strategy, technical acceptance criteria, and quarterly/6-month quality roadmaps across APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Agent‑Led and AI Testing Supervision: Drive opportunities for agentic‑driven delivery, overseeing AI agents that author, maintain, and execute test cases, regression suites, and defect triage workflows.
  • Standards and Assurance: Establish quality standards, automated testing frameworks, and continuous delivery policies across all delivery cells.
  • E2E and Performance Testing: Oversee API, component, load, and performance test coverage using automated tooling (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Jest, JMeter) integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Quality Metrics and KPIs: Track defect leakage, mean time to detect/resolve defects, automation execution rates, and testing‑related technical debt.
  • Stakeholder and Cell Collaboration: Partner with Technical Leads, Product Owners, and engineers to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable releases.

Key Skills And Experience Required

  • Quality Leadership: Proven experience leading functional, performance, and user acceptance testing strategies in complex software delivery environments.
  • Agentic and AI‑Driven Delivery: Hands‑on experience or strong expertise in leveraging AI agents, prompts, and automated tooling to generate test cases, improve coverage, and optimize testing pipelines.
  • Automation and Engineering Tech Stack: Advanced proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node/NPM), API/microservices testing, automated frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright), and CI/CD tools.
  • Frameworks and Observability: Strong test data management skills and experience with performance tools (JMeter) and monitoring platforms (Grafana, Kibana).
  • Location Requirements: Fully remote, based in Nearshore or Midshore regions with strong English communication skills and alignment with UK working hours.

Desirable Qualifications

  • ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager
