We are looking for a hands-on Technical Project Manager to take ownership of several major capital infrastructure projects for our client, a global market leading CCM business who are currently executing a major, multi-million-pound modernisation programme across their estate. This includes consolidating large production facilities, decommissioning legacy architecture, and shifting heavy core application workloads into a highly modern, multi-cloud environment.
You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, managing budgets, and coordinating delivery teams to execute high-stakes site closures, data centre migrations, and cloud transformations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Closure & Migration: Manage the technical shutdown of active sites. This includes moving server stacks, complex network setups (firewalls, switches), and transferring virtual machines into centralised data centres with zero downtime.
- Cloud Transformation: Drive the migration of standard web services and automated operational tooling away from legacy mainframes and into a multi-cloud environment (primarily AWS and OCI, with some Azure).
- New Infrastructure Rollouts: Oversee server and network infrastructure setups for new regional sites.
- Project Governance: Create and maintain standard project documentation, including detailed plans, RAID logs, and budget trackers (forecast vs. actuals).
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all newly deployed environments meet strict security standards, specifically deploying into PCI/CDE and Cyber Essentials Plus frameworks.
- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal engineering teams, report directly to the Head of Infrastructure, and handle technical liaison with corporate clients when required.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience project managing complex infrastructure upgrades, OS refreshes, and data centre migrations.
- Strong technical literacy across AWS and OCI cloud environments, network engineering, and legacy mainframe transitions.
- Proven ability to read technical documentation, identify deliverables, and manage cross-functional engineering teams.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Prince 2 Practitioner or APM preferred) and proficiency with Microsoft Project.
- Excellent communication skills with experience managing both internal stakeholders and external clients.
If this sounds like you apply directly!
