We are currently supporting a client within the accounting software space who is undertaking a major platform evolution of their accounts service. As part of this initiative, they are migrating from an existing API microservice architecture to a new, modern Node.js-based microservices environment.
The project is currently in the design and architecture phase, and the team is looking to bring in a Node.js Developer who can contribute to technical decision-making, architecture discussions, and hands-on development as the new platform is built and rolled out. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced developer who enjoys working on backend systems, influencing architectural direction, and building scalable, cloud-native services.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the design and architecture of a new microservices-based platform
- Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js
- Support the migration from legacy API microservices to a modern architecture
- Work closely with architects and technical leads to shape system design
- Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle
- Strong Node.js development experience in enterprise environments
- Proven experience working with AWS (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, etc.)
