Contract until 6th of October - Local Council Melton Location - Hybrid Working Arrangement

The Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing design plans for road construction, drainage, traffic treatments, parking, footpaths, parks and sporting facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare computer generated design plans for Council's capital works program
  • Prepare design plans for road construction, drainage, traffic treatments, parking, footpaths, parks and sporting facilities
  • Prepare engineering computations, estimates and contract specifications for infrastructure projects
  • Arrange, coordinate and review geotechnical investigations and engineering surveys

Key Skills

  • Strong experience working as a Design Engineer
  • Experience in design of civil engineering projects using Autocad
  • Experience in the use of computer design and drafting software as well as Microsoft Office particularly MS Word and MS Excel
  • Local Council experience would be beneficial
  • Attention to detail, and personal drive and initiative to get things done
