Contract until 6th of October - Local Council Melton Location - Hybrid Working Arrangement
The Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing design plans for road construction, drainage, traffic treatments, parking, footpaths, parks and sporting facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare computer generated design plans for Council's capital works program
- Prepare design plans for road construction, drainage, traffic treatments, parking, footpaths, parks and sporting facilities
- Prepare engineering computations, estimates and contract specifications for infrastructure projects
- Arrange, coordinate and review geotechnical investigations and engineering surveys
Key Skills
- Strong experience working as a Design Engineer
- Experience in design of civil engineering projects using Autocad
- Experience in the use of computer design and drafting software as well as Microsoft Office particularly MS Word and MS Excel
- Local Council experience would be beneficial
- Attention to detail, and personal drive and initiative to get things done
