We are currently working with a retail organisation who require an IT Category/Procurement Manager to support them across multiple IT in-flight transformations.
Responsibilities include:
- Review and establish the multi-year global sourcing strategy for IT Hardware (devices, infrastructure) and Software (SaaS, Enterprise Licensing) categories.
- Lead and conclude complex, high-value RFx processes and negotiations for major technology licenses (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, key SaaS vendors) to secure maximum commercial and contractual advantage.
- Deliver measurable cost savings and strategic value by optimising vendor relationships and challenging existing licensing models.
- Act as the primary strategic procurement advisor to the CIO and Technology Executive Leadership, ensuring commercial strategy supports the technology roadmap.
Experience required:
- Senior IT Category Management/Sourcing experience in a global setting.
- Proven success sourcing and managing IT Hardware and IT Software, including vendor licensing and contractual terms (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, AWS/GCP).
- Previous experience of leading and closing £ multi-million/multi-year negotiations with major technology providers.
- Proven ability to influence and partner effectively with Senior Technology and C-level Executive stakeholders.
