We are currently supporting a well-established UK retail organisation in the search for an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and brings a strong technical accounting background and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations
- Management of debits, credits and general ledger activities
- Stock valuation analysis and reporting
- Cash flow monitoring and forecasting
- Supporting month-end and financial reporting processes
- Identifying risks, anomalies and areas for improvement through detailed financial analysis
- Working closely with stakeholders across finance and operations
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
- Previous contract/interim experience preferred
- Strong understanding of balance sheets, reconciliations and financial controls
- Experience with stock accounting and inventory valuations
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable challenging figures and investigating discrepancies with an auditor-style approach
- Working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
