The Role
We’re supporting a large, complex digital organisation undergoing ongoing product and platform development across mobile applications. This role sits within a collaborative delivery team, working closely with engineers, product, and QA to drive quality across iOS and Android platforms.
You’ll play a hands-on role in shaping test strategy, leading release test cycles, and embedding modern Quality Engineering / Shift-Left practices across the team. This is not a box-ticking QA role – we need someone confident challenging assumptions, asking the right questions, and pairing closely with developers.
Essential Skills & Experience (must be evidenced in the last 12 months)
- Excellent communicator and team player
- Curious, vocal, and confident questioning requirements and implementation decisions
- Strong mobile platform expertise
- Power user of iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS
- Release & test leadership
- Proven experience planning, organising, and supervising release test cycles
- Quality Engineering mindset
- Demonstrable experience driving software quality improvements using Shift-Left / QE approaches
- Root-cause analysis & mentoring
- Strong at diagnosing failures and supporting junior colleagues with structured problem-solving
- Technical fluency
- Comfortable reading and understanding code
- Confident pairing with developers
- Experience with at least one of the following is strongly preferred: Swift | Kotlin | Java | Objective-C
