Role: Managed Services Technician
Location: Manchester and Northern Area
Salary: £30,000 + Overtime
Hours: Monday-Friday | 37.5 hours per week
Love football? Like working with your hands? Want a genuinely different job?
We're looking for practical, enthusiastic people to join a specialist operations team delivering cutting-edge branding activations at some of the UK's biggest sporting venues.
This isn't your typical technician role. One day you'll be assembling and testing innovative robotic equipment, the next you'll be pitch-side at Premier League stadiums helping deliver large-scale branding before matchday.
You'll receive full training, learn how the technology works, and have a clear pathway to becoming a Crew Leader within the business.
What you'll be doing
After an in-depth 3-month training programme, you'll learn how to:
- Assemble and maintain specialist robotic equipment
- Prepare and test machinery before deployments
- Travel to sporting venues across the UK
- Set up and operate equipment on-site
- Support branding activations on natural grass surfaces
- Remove branding after events and restore playing surfaces
- Work safely as part of a close-knit field operations team
- Progress towards leading activations yourself
No two weeks are the same, combining workshop-based work with regular travel to some of the country's biggest sporting venues.
Who we're looking for
You don't need experience with robotics—we'll teach you that.
We're looking for people who are:
- Practical and enjoy hands-on work
- Passionate about football or live sport
- Happy working both indoors and outdoors
- Reliable, proactive and eager to learn
- Comfortable travelling across the UK
- Looking for a long-term career with progression
You'll fit in well if you've worked in roles such as:
- Assembly Technician
- Manufacturing Operative
- Mechanical Technician
- Vehicle Technician
- Construction
- Landscaping
- Warehouse or Production
- Events Crew
- Grounds Maintenance
A full UK driving licence is essential.
Ready for something different?
If you're looking for a hands-on role that combines technology, travel and sport, with genuine opportunities to progress, we'd love to hear from you.
