We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our client’s team as they expand into new markets and shape the future of accounting. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine business development with strategic key account management, with the flexibility to specialise based on your strengths and career ambitions.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in engaging prospects, driving sales, and ensuring smooth client onboarding. You will work closely with the Business Development Senior Director and the wider sales team to identify and develop new opportunities, build relationships with key decision-makers, and contribute to long-term business growth.

Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate client feedback into actionable insights. From lead generation and contract negotiation to deployment and ongoing client management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for customers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities to contribute to the sales pipeline
  • Meeting and exceeding sales and revenue targets
  • Creating compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to enterprise clients
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure long-term success
  • Negotiating contract terms and closing deals to achieve revenue goals
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including strategy, legal, marketing, product development, operations, and support
  • Overseeing the implementation process and conducting regular service reviews to ensure client satisfaction
  • Working efficiently within enterprise sales cycles and managing priorities effectively
  • Providing insights on customer needs to influence marketing and product development strategies
  • Staying informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities

Key requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to build meaningful B2B enterprise-level relationships
  • Strong understanding of consultative, enterprise-level selling
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Interest in and understanding of software and technology
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and resilient with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel as needed
