Job Description
Email Marketing Specialist (Cold Outreach) | Macclesfield (1-2 days in office/month) | Full-time | £35-40k
I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a growing digital marketing and customer acquisition business for an experienced Cold Outreach Email Marketing Specialist.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a high-volume B2B cold email acquisition channel and help build a scalable strategy across multiple products, industries and international markets.
This is not a traditional 1-to-1 sales outreach position. I'm looking for someone with hands‑on experience building and scaling cold email campaigns, managing large B2B prospect databases, protecting deliverability and turning campaign data into measurable leads and revenue.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and execute a high-volume B2B cold email marketing strategy.
- Build, launch and optimise outbound campaigns across large prospect databases.
- Create scalable sending strategies while protecting inbox placement, sender reputation and domain health.
- Manage email infrastructure, including domains, mailboxes and warming processes.
- Clean, validate, enrich and segment B2B prospect data.
- Build automated email sequences designed to generate qualified leads and applications.
- Write concise, commercially focused cold email copy.
- Test subject lines, messaging, offers, CTAs, audience segments and sequence structures.
- Run controlled tests before scaling successful campaigns.
- Monitor delivery rates, bounce rates, spam placement, conversions, lead volume and revenue.
- Analyse campaign performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop repeatable processes covering data acquisition, validation, segmentation, testing and scaling.
- Work collaboratively with CRM, Sales, Compliance, Media and Creative teams.
- Ensure campaigns follow relevant data protection and electronic marketing regulations.
What I’m looking for
- Previous experience in high-volume cold email marketing, B2B email acquisition, outbound email marketing or email lead generation.
- Proven experience sending campaigns to large volumes of cold B2B data.
- A strong understanding of email deliverability, sender reputation and inbox placement.
- Experience with domain and mailbox warming strategies.
- Experience using data verification, enrichment and prospecting platforms.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing, cleaning, validating and segmenting B2B datasets.
- Excellent direct-response email copywriting skills.
- Experience creating automated email sequences and follow-up campaigns.
- A data‑led approach to A/B testing and campaign optimisation.
- The ability to turn performance data into clear actions.
- Excellent attention to detail across campaign configuration, targeting and data quality.
- Knowledge of GDPR, PECR, CAN‑SPAM or similar regulations is desirable.
The opportunity
You’ll join an established CRM and marketing team while having genuine ownership of the cold email channel. The successful candidate will have the freedom to test new ideas, build a repeatable acquisition model and help shape the company’s approach to B2B outreach at scale.
The role offers the chance to work across multiple products, industries and international markets within a fast‑growing business.
What’s on offer
- Competitive salary and commission.
- Company bonus opportunities.
- Clear career progression.
- Regular team‑building events and socials.
- Access to monthly live‑events incentives.
- Free gym membership.
If you have experience scaling B2B cold email campaigns and are looking for the opportunity to own and develop a channel from the ground up, I’d be keen to hear from you.
