My client is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support a highly automated logistics and warehouse environment, ensuring critical systems remain stable, reliable, and operational during live warehouse activity.
The Role
You’ll act as the onsite technical reliability lead, working closely with operations and control room teams to minimise disruption, manage incidents, and improve system stability across warehouse and logistics technology. This is a proactive operational reliability role rather than traditional IT support.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the health and performance of warehouse, automation, and integration systems
- Identify risks, failures, and performance issues before they impact operations
- Lead technical incident response and coordinate recovery during live operational issues
- Work alongside warehouse operations and control room teams during critical periods
- Support change and release activities to reduce operational risk
- Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Help improve monitoring, processes, and long-term operational resilience
Experience Required
- 3–5+ years in Site Reliability / Operations / Infrastructure / Warehouse Technology support
- Experience supporting complex operational or logistics environments
- Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with integrated systems under time‑critical conditions
- Understanding of warehouse, automation, ERP, or transport systems
- Familiarity with ITIL processes including Incident, Change, and Problem Management
Technical Environment
Experience with some of the following is beneficial:
