We're seeking an Automation Test Engineer to join a high-impact programme within a public sector organisation. This contract role is ideal for someone who excels in building and delivering comprehensive, robust, and reliable automated test frameworks and automation suites in Government or security‑cleared environments.
Responsibilities:
- Functional and non‑functional testing
- Systems integration testing
- Security testing
- Performance testing
- Development and maintenance of automated test suites
- Test infrastructure – e.g. Docker and containerisation
- TDD and BDD principles
- Micro‑service architecture and API testing principles
- Java 11/17/21 and Springboot framework
- Testing frameworks such as Cucumber, REST Assured, Wiremock
- Front‑end testing frameworks such as Selenium
- Accessibility testing (WCAG)
Essential Skills:
- Test engineering best practices
