About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Application Support & Development Manager to join a growing group in Leeds.

You will be responsible for owning the application support function, acting as an escalation point for issues, and collaborating with external vendors, consultants, and the internal IT team to ensure seamless functionality across the application stack. This role will be crucial in driving key IT projects forward, including the implementation of a new ERP solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a range of business-critical applications across the group, working with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Act as the escalation point for application support, liaising with the service desk and managing the resolution of complex issues.
  • Work with senior management to understand business requirements and align the application landscape accordingly.
  • Scope out requirements for application development, both internally and through third-party suppliers.
  • Oversee consultancy and project timelines, ensuring resources are allocated effectively across applications.
  • Play a key role in the delivery and implementation of the group’s new ERP solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in application support with demonstrable experience in managing complex applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work with both technical experts and non-technical end-users.
  • Proven experience in leading or managing teams, with a strong understanding of team development and growth.
  • Experience in managing applications in a hosted environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server, MS Access, and ideally familiarity with Access Supply Chain, Efacs (Eagle), or similar ERP systems.
  • Willingness to travel to other sites as required.
