The position will report directly to the Associate Director of International Supply Chain – Launch lead.
General Summary:Coordinating and executing product readiness of Vertex’s commercial products in the international region. This role focuses on the execution of the launch activities from the activation of change controls until delivery to destination markets across modality and through supply archetypes e.g. dedicated pack, late-stage customization, individual supply, and named patient supply, working closely to follow up with functions (Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Regulatory, Packaging Engineering, Artwork, Quality, Production Planning, CMO, Distribution Quality, 3PLs, Demand Planning and Logistics).
The role will support the Product and Launch Leads within the International region. Support and coordinate Continuous Improvement projects to optimise launch readiness and improve efficiency and effectiveness of timelines and KPIs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:- Product management and continuous improvement.
- Support execution of new product launch (NPL) and Life Cycle Management (LCM) projects across the international supply chain.
- Execution and support to achieve supply readiness per the product launch timelines and across different product modalities.
- Manage the delivery of key launch milestones using an established end-to-end launch process by working cross functionally with the Commercial Manufacturing & Supply Chain organisation and functional follow up within Vertex organisations (Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Regulatory, Regulatory Labelling, Quality, Distribution Quality) and 3PLs for late-stage customization, pack readiness support, NPS, IPS and ROW donation.
- Actively follow up with stakeholders on the project plan, Change Controls, tracking status of launch activities.
- Provide progress updates and project communications to product leads and applicable management through established forums, per modality.
- Support the team to maintain and update (QA) documents, change controls, deviations and CAPAs where required.
Support and coordinate Continuous improvement projects related processes of NPL, LCM, NPS, IPS. Liaise with internal Project management forums to align on CI approach.
Knowledge and Skills:- Experience in executing small projects in global cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility and collaboration within a dynamic business environment, growing team and different product modalities.
- Ability to execute and follow up on projects according to agreed timelines.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain and/or life sciences industry.
- Working knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Strong understanding of GMP and GDP regulations/requirements and Change Control management processes.
- Experience with commercial launches.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and analytical approach.
- Experience working with 3PLs.
Bachelor's required, preferably in engineering or business.
