Role Summary
Vertex are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marketing Associate Director, Distributor Region to drive their marketing efforts across the Distributor Region. Vertex’s distributor region spans 40 markets across Central & Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, where they collaborate with trusted third-party distributor partners to deliver impactful solutions. This role will focus on driving the commercial success of Vertex’s CF products, through strategic planning, execution of marketing initiatives, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and distributor partners. The Associate Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring launch readiness, optimising promotional strategies, and strengthening marketing capabilities across diverse geographies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic and tactical marketing plans for the Distributor Region, focusing on CF launches.
- Drive cross-functional launch readiness preparations, including pre-launch reviews, post-launch execution monitoring, and commercial pull-through for key markets (e.g., Central & Eastern Europe, GCC, LATAM).
- Lead the creation and distribution of promotional materials, including launch toolkits, training resources, digital assets, and partner-facing content.
- Collaborate with distributor partners to gather insights, foster best practice sharing, and ensure alignment with Vertex’s international guidance.
- Organize and lead key marketing fora to support distributor partners.
- Ensure compliance with Vertex’s ethical standards, policies, and procedures, including adherence to promotional material approval governance.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and processes to ensure timely and efficient execution of marketing initiatives.
- Measure the impact of marketing tactics and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical marketing or related fields, with at some experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing marketing strategies and tactical plans.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate insights and apply them to business opportunities.
- Experience with communications review committees for the approval of external materials.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies.
- Expertise in strategic brand planning and marketing capability building.
- Strong project management skills, including budget management and timeline tracking.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and website content management.
- Experience in international pharmaceutical marketing and healthcare innovation would be preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
- Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a dynamic setting.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
