Our Office of Operations is seeking an experienced candidate to lead the operational planning and execution of all F1® car projects, from design release through to track delivery, ensuring realistic production schedules, resource alignment, and milestone achievement in line with the overall car strategy defined by the Programme Office. The role covers both launch cars and in-season developments, working closely with Production Delivery, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Build, and Test & Validation teams to coordinate dependencies and maintain programme momentum. Reporting to the Head of Production and partnering closely with the Technical Project Manager, the successful candidate will help deliver a fully integrated plan from design to delivery, while maintaining transparent collaboration across the Programme, Operations, and Technical offices to identify risks early, align priorities, and implement timely mitigation strategies that keep projects on track.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all project-driven operational activities for the car, coordinating multiple projects driven by Aero, Performance, faults and weight saving.
  • Define and manage production delivery schedules, fully aligned with design release milestones defined by the Technical Project Manager.
  • Provide production cost estimates for prospective projects, in order to support the Programme Office with budget forecasting and project go/no-go decisions.
  • Deliver start-of-season car and in-season development projects to targeted events.
  • Identify risks early and drive timely, effective mitigation actions.
  • Work collaboratively with the Technical Project Manager to ensure one integrated plan covering design through to production.
  • Maintain close working relationships with Programme and Technical team to ensure absolute transparency and to align priorities.
  • Challenge assumptions and drive decisions to maintain delivery under pressure.
  • Identify and champion initiatives that increase our project delivery efficiency, as we strive to develop faster than anyone else across the grid.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of an F1® car – from both a design and manufacturing perspective for key composite and metallic components.
  • Proven experience within complex, high-pressure technical projects to fixed deadlines.
  • The confidence and influence to challenge assumptions and drive decisions.
  • Detail oriented with a pro-active approach to identifying problems and championing them to solution.
  • A continuous improvement mindset – identifying and supporting initiatives to increase efficiency, as we strive to be the fastest developing team on the grid.
  • Strong communication skills, with the credibility to build trusted, respectful relationships.
