We are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join a busy fabrication & welding department. Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, you will play a key role in the build and conversion of vehicle-related equipment. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys a varied workload.
We welcome applications from candidates with MIG Welding experience, who are used to working in a fast paced, heavy engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities of the MIG Welder:- MIG welding (essential)
- Fabrication and welding of chassis conversions (e.g. tipper beds)
- Fabrication of cage-style vehicle bodies
- Manufacturing and welding of trailers, storage units, and related equipment
- Mild steel welding for our manufacturing plant
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop
- Supporting general workshop operations and ad hoc tasks as required
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication
- Strong MIG welding skills (essential)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience using workshop machinery (e.g. chop saws, guillotines) with a solid understanding of health & safety
- Ability to set up and adjust welding equipment independently
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and integrity
- 4-day working week (long weekends every week)

A weld test will be required as part of the recruitment process. Competitive pay based on experience up to £16.00 per hour.
