Our client is a well-established and growing organisation with a strong people-focused culture. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced HR Advisor to join their HR team and provide expert employee relations support across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys a varied role, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about supporting managers and employees while ensuring best practice and compliance.
The Role
As HR Advisor, you will act as a trusted partner to managers across the organisation, providing practical and commercially focused HR advice. You will take ownership of a broad range of employee relations cases, supporting managers through the full employee lifecycle and ensuring policies and procedures are applied consistently and fairly.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a range of employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, capability and flexible working matters.
  • Providing first-line HR advice and guidance to managers on employment law, policy and best practice.
  • Supporting and leading investigations, formal meetings and hearings.
  • Preparing investigation reports, outcome letters and associated documentation.
  • Ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently across the business.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Building strong working relationships with managers and stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Supporting policy reviews and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the HR function.
  • Identifying trends and potential people-related risks and escalating where appropriate.

About You:
  • To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor position.
  • Strong employee relations experience with the ability to manage cases independently from start to finish.
  • A good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience advising and coaching managers on people-related matters.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to influence stakeholders.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
