Job Description
We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join an award winning, problem-solving, forward-thinking family business. They are an expert in their field of work and have been doing so for over 50 years. The company provide an end-to-end service to all their customers, also adding value with proven after sales and support. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding owner managed business with a clear vision for future growth. Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:
- Having the ability to liaise with both customers and colleagues to ensure the company maintains the customer service excellence that we pride ourselves on, is essential to the role.
- Servicing, maintaining, and installing a range of equipment at customers sites nationwide.Â
- Attend customers site in a timely manner to carry out the task assigned and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Typical hours are around 40-45 but does vary as a demand driven role. Care is proactively taken to avoid excessive hours where possible.
- Install new machines and provide full operator training individually and as part of a team.
- Communicate effectively to liaise with: Customers both on site and to help to diagnose problems over the phone, the engineering, admin team and the sales team.
Experience required for the Field Service Engineer:
- Recognised electrical engineering qualification.
- Field engineering experience is essential.
- PLC interrogation experience is essential. In particular Siemens S7/TIA & OMRON Excellent communication skills and the ability to be a team player.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Self-Motivation with the ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
- The ability to provide a digital job report on completion of a daily task using excellent English/Grammar.
 What is on offer to the Field Service Engineer:
- Salary 40-50K dependant on experience and skill set with a company wide annual discretional bonus scheme
- Working days Monday to Friday
- Quality company vehicle is provided which is fully expensed for personal use also
- Fully expensed mobile phone and iPad for professional and personal use
- Any specialised tools required to do the job in hand.
- Generous expense policy with much discretion given as to where to stay if staying away and meals and drinks in the evening
