Talent-UK are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Operative on behalf of their client, a successful manufacturing business in the Halifax area. The role is offered on a temporary to permanent basis, working regular days Monday to Friday, with overtime available at uplifted rates of pay, along with ongoing training and development.
Key responsibilities for the Logistics Operative role:
- Using the FLT to load/unload vehicles in accordance with daily requirements.
- Packing Finished Goods ready for despatch, including wrapping and labelling.
- Order picking with the use of handheld scanners.
- Carrying out stock checks on a regular basis.
- Providing weights and dimension information for shipping of product.
- General upkeep and housekeeping of the warehouse environment with focus.
Experience of the Logistics Operative:
- Proven experience of working in a warehouse/logistics environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Computer literate, worked on warehouse systems.
- Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience working within warehousing, packing, production, manufacturing environment is ideal.
- FLT Licence would be advantageous.
What is in return for the Logistics Operative:
- Hourly rate of GBP12.50 per hour.
- 38 hours basic and overtime available.
- Regular days 9.30am-6pm Monday to Thursday and 9.30am-3pm Friday.
- Weekly pay (PAYE) plus Holidays.
- Ongoing training provided to up-skill further.
