We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager on behalf of our client who are a well-established Engineering business in the Huddersfield area on a permanent basis, working Monday to Friday with a Salary of up to Β£50K. They are customer focused and have a breadth of staff with decades of experience in the industry and have customers dating back 30 plus years. They are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to carry out business development for the Group of companies. This role will report into the Operations Director and will be the key driver in developing business for the complete offering of the group.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to create and translate strategic objectives into practical sales plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Monitor sales metrics, prepare regular performance reports, and provide insights to the board.
  • Identify new market opportunities and carry out business development initiatives.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to stay ahead of market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience of working in an Engineering business.
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
