Key Responsibilities
- Perform outfitting design and engineering for shipbuilding and offshore projects, including decks, compartments, access systems, and outfitting arrangements.
- Prepare and review outfitting layouts, detailed drawings, and technical documentation in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.
- Ensure compliance with classification society regulations (ABS, DNV, LR, BV, etc.) and international conventions such as IMO and SOLAS.
- Participate in interdisciplinary coordination and 3D model reviews, resolving interface issues with structural, piping, HVAC, electrical, and safety disciplines.
- Support FEED and detailed design phases, ensuring design intent, constructability, and operational requirements are met.
- Respond to technical queries from shipyards, fabricators, and site teams, and provide engineering clarifications as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ship or offshore outfitting design, with hands-on involvement in engineering projects.
- Solid understanding of shipbuilding and offshore outfitting systems, including access, safety equipment, and general outfitting arrangements.
- Experience in FEED and/or detailed design stages is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with classification society rules and international maritime conventions.
